Shri Rath Foundation Trust is a registered Public Charitable Trust, incorporated on 18th December 2020 under the laws of India, with its registered office in Forest Park, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Founded with a commitment to public welfare, the trust operates across two broad domains: Human Health Sciences and Veterinary & Animal Sciences.
The trust is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees comprising medical professionals, an entrepreneur, and a seasoned social worker — united by the shared mission of improving lives through compassionate service and evidence-based practice.
The Shri Rath Foundation Trust exists to serve humanity by making quality healthcare accessible to all — regardless of economic status, geography, or social standing. We bridge the gap between medical science and grassroots communities through education, skill development, preventive health programs, and curative healthcare services. By integrating human and veterinary sciences under a single compassionate umbrella, we strive to uplift entire ecosystems — people, animals, and the environment alike.
We achieve our mission by fostering scientific excellence, building strong healthcare infrastructure, supporting research and innovation, and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through scholarships, fellowships, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
We envision a society where every individual — regardless of their background — has access to dignified, compassionate, and affordable healthcare. A world where scientific knowledge and community service walk hand in hand; where animals are treated with the same care and respect as humans; and where a healthy environment sustains all forms of life.
Shri Rath Foundation Trust aspires to become a nationally recognized centre of excellence for integrated health sciences — pioneering a model that connects research, education, clinical practice, and social outreach into one unified, life-changing movement rooted in the heart of Odisha.
Dear Friends, Well-wishers, and Fellow Changemakers,
When my mother, Mrs. Swatee Mahapatra, lovingly placed her trust — and a seed corpus — into the foundation of what would become the Shri Rath Foundation Trust, she gifted us something far more valuable than money. She gave us purpose.
That helplessness is what we are here to address.
Shri Rath Foundation Trust was born from the belief that healthcare is not a privilege — it is a right. And that right must extend not just to the wealthy or the well-connected, but to every person sitting in a remote village, every child who needs a doctor, every animal that deserves care, and every community that deserves better.
Our work spans across multiple disciplines — from organising free health camps and medical education programmes to promoting scientific research, running awareness campaigns, and building the groundwork for a world-class veterinary college. Each initiative, big or small, is a thread in the larger fabric of a healthier, more equitable society.
We are a team of doctors, entrepreneurs, and social workers — brought together not by profession, but by shared values. We believe in transparency, accountability, and the quiet power of consistent, compassionate action. We believe that real change doesn’t happen in boardrooms or press releases; it happens at the bedside, in the field, and in the classroom.
As you engage with our work — whether as a supporter, a partner, a beneficiary, or simply someone who cares — I want you to know that every contribution, every collaboration, and every word of encouragement goes directly into building something that will outlive all of us.
This is not just a trust. It is a promise — to the people we serve, to the lives we hope to touch, and to the society we are committed to healing.
With gratitude and resolve,
Dr. Mahesh Rath
