When my mother, Mrs. Swatee Mahapatra, lovingly placed her trust — and a seed corpus — into the foundation of what would become the Shri Rath Foundation Trust, she gifted us something far more valuable than money. She gave us purpose.

That helplessness is what we are here to address.

Shri Rath Foundation Trust was born from the belief that healthcare is not a privilege — it is a right. And that right must extend not just to the wealthy or the well-connected, but to every person sitting in a remote village, every child who needs a doctor, every animal that deserves care, and every community that deserves better.

Our work spans across multiple disciplines — from organising free health camps and medical education programmes to promoting scientific research, running awareness campaigns, and building the groundwork for a world-class veterinary college. Each initiative, big or small, is a thread in the larger fabric of a healthier, more equitable society.

We are a team of doctors, entrepreneurs, and social workers — brought together not by profession, but by shared values. We believe in transparency, accountability, and the quiet power of consistent, compassionate action. We believe that real change doesn’t happen in boardrooms or press releases; it happens at the bedside, in the field, and in the classroom.
